111. Authenticity vs AI
Aug 25, 2025
What does authenticity versus artificial intelligence mean to your business? Authenticity still is stronger than AI because consumer trends are changing and although people are prioritizing convenience they are also focused on real relationships.
Relationships are based on the 5 R’s
✨Rapport
✨Results
✨Reputation
✨Reviews
✨Referrals
Statistics show that although convenience is a high priority, consumers still are loyal to the ‘know, like, trust’ that relationships provide. They want to buy from a person in customer service based industries.
How can you adapt to this market shift?
In retail many stores now have a phone that is used to connect directly with clients via platforms such as what’s app. Sharing the latest collections or offers, rather than sending out the email blasts and newsletters, companies are taking a more personalized approach to building a rapport with their customers. People are helping people rather than the artificial intelligence robots that are being developed online.
The online 24/7 availability is great as are chat options for your websites, but with the presence of social media and online businesses clients are asking more questions and are more discerning. There’s often a longer runway to convert clients into your business or to promote the next treatment, service or product. This is where the important of authenticity and real relationships becomes vital for your business to thrive in any economic climate.
What does this mean for your business? How can you add value? How can you adapt and still be authentic? How can you continue to build that know, like, trust with your community? It’s about building relationships.
💫 Ask clients to leave a review on your website, on social media and review platforms like Trip Advisor and Google.
💫 When you’re featured in publications and awards, recommend others whom it would benefit. This follows the universal energy of giving and reciprocating.
💫 What value do you provide for others? This is the focus when you are collaborating with other companies. How can you add value to their audience? What results or support can you share?
💫 Collaborating and being featured with other people’s audiences provides ‘Best in Class’ and ‘Subject Matter Expert’ to your reputation. This builds your credibility and is an indirect referral for your business and brand. You can retool this and reutilise the platform by offering something of value to their audience to gain access to your business and services.
💫 By collaborating with companies bigger than your own it opens the doors to many new possibilities and elevate your brand. These can be online events or in person events or promotions. This can 10x your business, so be ready to scale and share your journey on social media to build your story brand.
Being authentic creates relationships and builds lifetime customers, boosts your brand, it doesn’t have to cost anything but your time. Remember to add value, it’s about obtaining exposure rather than an exponential breakthrough, offer access and support to their audience.
