95. GOALgetters
May 05, 2025
In our Glowgetter community we write our goals down… do you know why? Because it’s part of our ACTion Plan… Accountability, Cadence and Time Line to achieve our goals .
We write annual goals, quarterly goals, monthly goals and even break those down into weekly and daily goals. This is a technique that helps elevate our entrepreneurs and executives.
Harvard Business School study revealed:
π« 83% don’t set goals
π« 14% have goals but don’t write them down and
π« only 3% write their goals and achieve 10x more results
Do you want to be the 1% or top 3% of leaders… simply write down your goals, and hold yourself accountable.
When you do write down your goals be clear - give yourself an exact target and date to achieve your goal by.
The Harvard Study found setting goals with a deadline increased success by 76% and sharing goals with a trusted person boosts commitment by 33%.
This is why our catalyst coaching program and success strategy sessions produce results. By sharing goals it improves commitment and accountability.
Our ‘Daily Do’s’ create a customised checklist of daily tasks that move towards the husks our clients want to achieve both personally and professionally. By ticking small tasks this creates momentum and maintains motivation.
The annual and long term vision is broken down into small manageable goals with deadlines. The small continual wins maintain cadence, build confidence and consistency. It’s an energetic alignment towards your master plan and vision.
In our Harvard Medical School Lifestyle Medicine course the ‘if/then’ strategy was discussed and can be developed with each client. For example, “if I’m too tired to exercise, then I’ll walk for 10 minutes”. By using this strategy, people are 300% more likely to achieve their goals.
It creates the WOOP method: wish, outcome, obstacle, plan. By having the ‘if/then’ strategy in place clients can still achieve a daily win.
Harvard Medical School suggests that coaching courses be 90 days long because it takes 21 days to create a new habit. there is a cycle to achieving and maintaining motivation and momentum towards goals. Research shows that 90 days is enough time to set and achieve a goal because it allows enough time to see real progress and it’s a short enough time to create urgency and maintain commitment. The energetic alignment for an ACTion Plan to be successful.
